I have trained and worked in a variety of psychiatric and medical care settings in New York and Connecticut. These settings include: Inpatient floors of various specialties, Outpatient and Community Medical and Psychiatric clinics, long-term Psychiatric State facilities, Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities, School Day Treatment program, School-Based Health Clinics, and Substance Abuse Clinic. My primary focus, regardless of primary or specialty care, has been on children, adolescents and young adults.

I obtained a Master’s in Education (Ed.M) in Prevention Science and Practice with a focus in Childhood Counseling (ages 0-10) and child development. This program focused on the creation and study of preventive and intervention strategies to reduce the risk of adverse mental health outcomes in children while bolstering their strength, resiliency, and well-being.

Yale School of Nursing: I obtained a Master’s in Nursing Science with a specialty in Pediatric Primary Care Medicine. This program emphasized the importance of family and community health, promotion of children and adolescents physical and mental health well-being through evidence based practice and the value of interdisciplinary collaboration.

I obtained a post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health across the Lifespan. This program concentrated on developing expertise in the assessment and diagnosis of individuals with psychiatric disorders; in addition to, training in both psychotherapy and psychopharmacological treatment. I chose to focus on the subspecialty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
